School Bullying: Save Our Children, Save Our Generation

There are many steps that can be done by educators to address this violence.



First of all an educator must understand the meaning of bullying. This understanding is not just the literal meaning only, but the application, the awareness will happen if a clear understanding. This understanding must occur between the two sides. Teachers and parents, as the most important part in the educational process both these elements have to understand the meaning of bullying and the effects of bullying. Furthermore, for students. Students, understanding for the pupils may be given when a school lesson, for example: in the subjects of language, teach students with language that is not mutually flout fellow, and understanding the dangers of violence in any form we can use some of the to overcome the bias action of this school bullying.

Educational model is based on three things: recognize ourselves as a growth process which is and will continue to change, recognize the self-concept and identity, and integrating the awareness heart and mind. Inviting children understand what is heard in a systematic and responsible, so it reduces the action brutality and dangerous. Bullying could also be prevented by instilling faith-based education and character education.



All parties must be together to solve this problem. the violence can occur anywhere, the involvement of parents and the playing environment is very influential in dealing with these bullying actions, even the authority of the government also has a large in preventing this crime.

“Tuhan Menjadi Saksi, Aku Masih Suci”

Malam ini mungkin aku pulang lagi pukul 02.00, pekerjaanku belum selesai. Tiga pesan singkat dari Ratna, adikku yang dia ingin tahu jadwal pulangaku malam ini, tak bisa aku balas, pulsaku tak cukup lagi.

Gerimis mulai membasahi jalan, hiruk pikuk pasar perlahan mulai mereda. Sayup-sayup terdengar suara tawa sekelompok laki-laki yang sedang bermain kartu diujung gang tempat aku berdiri saat ini. Dari kejauhan aku bisa melihat botol-botol minuman, entah apa jenisnya. “sebaiknya kamu pulang saja” sebuah bisikan tiba-tiba menghentikan langkahku. Aku bingung, apakah aku harus pulang, sedangkan aku belum mendapatkan apa-apa malam ini.
“[KAK! DIMANA?!!]” pesan dari Ratna masuk lagi, ini yang keempat.
Ratna, adikku, beberapa hari lagi umurnya akan menepati tujuh belas, aku beruntung memilikinya, dia sangat mengerti kondisi kami. Meskipun seiring berjalannya waktu, usia bertambah, dan kebutuhan hidup tak pernah kompromi. Apalagi Ratna telah aku sekolahkan di Sekolah Menengah Akhir ternama dan diakui dari segi kualitas pembelajarannya dikota ini. Aku tak ingin dia yang satu-satunya kumiliki menjadi sepertiku. Semua orang tahu, dia pintar dan juga cantik.

Tujuh tahun lalu aku tak sempat lagi mengambil ijazah SMA-ku. Musibah itu telah membuat aku kehilangan segala yang aku punya, termasuk kepercayaan diriku. Saat itu aku merasa langit saja tak lagi memberi ruang untukku, apalagi bumi, tak satupun keluargaku diberi kesempatan berjalan bersamaku lagi, melalui murka laut aku menjadi sebatang kara. Kebahagian yang aku miliki telah usai.
Namun ternyata, dugaanku salah! Dua tahun kemudian aku berjumpa Ratna, disebuah tenda kuning bertuliskan CARE, ia sedang sedang bersama belasan anak sebaya dengannya memerhatikan seorang warga asing. Bisa aku pastikan dia sedang mengajari adikku bahasa dari Negara mereka.

Sejak pertemuan itu, ku coba memandang langit, sekilas wajah orangtuaku muncul. Ketika itu pula ruh ku mulai bersahabat dengan jasad. Aku lantas berjanji dalam hati, aku akan menjaga Ratna. Aku tahu Ratna adalah gadis pintar, telah banyak prestasi-prestasi yang diraih Ratna sejak sekolah dasar bahkan hingga saat ini, oleh karena itu aku bertekad akan menyekolahkan Ratna hingga dia menjadi sarjana, berpendidikan yang baik seperti yang diharapkan almarhum bapak dan ibu, dan yang paling penting adalah dia bisa berguna untuk kebaikan orang lain. Sebisa mungkin aku akan membiayainya, agar Ratna tak menjadi sepertiku yang kotor, seperti tempat aku berkerja saat ini. Aku tidak akan menyerah.

“Kak, kenapa sih harus pulang pagi setiap hari? Atau tengah-tengah malam” Tanya Ratna disuatu pagi, sebelum dia berangkat sekolah. Alah, aku tak ingin menghiraukan lagi pertanyaan ini, ini bukan kali pertama pertanyaan seperti ini ia lontarkan untukku.

“Kenapa sih kak ga jawab? Kakak kerja apa sih sebenarnya?” dia mengulang pertanyaannya lagi, aku rasa tak ada guna menjawabnya. Namun, Ratna masih berdiri didepanku menunggu aku menjawab.

“Buat apa nanyak-nanyak?! Tugas kamu itu sekolah. Tenang aja duetnya halal kok! Aku ga nyuri..!!” jawaban ini keluar dari mulutku dengan nada yang tinggi sambil merapikan pakainku lalu langsung keluar rumah lagi menuju gudang berukuran 4x2, jika dimasa bapak masih ada tempat ini pasti digunakan sebagai tempat penyimpanan barang bekas, saat ini temapt ini kami sulap menjadi kedai kecil, ini menjadi sumber pertama pengisi kantong kami dan biaya Ratna sekolah. Ada beberapa jenis makanan ringan, rokok, serta keperluan yang sering dicari ibu-ibu rumah tangga disekitar kami tanpa harus berjauh-jauh menuju pasar.

“Tapi kak, orang-orang disini selalu nanya kakak kemana setiap malam? Kerja apa setiap malam? Dimana? Ratna harus jawab apa kak…?” lanjut Ratna sambil mengiring langkahku.

“Lhoh, aku kan udah bilang, aku pergi kerja..” jawabku datar. “Pekerjaannya apa?” sambung Ratna. “Ratna! Apa urusan mereka? Perlu tahu segala hal tentang kita?! Apa peduli mereka kalau perut kita kosong? Apa peduli mereka kalau kamu putus sekolah?!” jawabku setengah membentak Ratna, adik semata wayangku, “udahlah, cepat berangkat sekolah sana..” Ratna terdiam. Ada tetesan bening dimata yang mulai turun menuju pipi putuhnya.

Maafkan kakakmu, tak seharusnya kau menanggung malu seperti ini. Sekolah dan hidupmu harus berlanjut. Abaikan siapa aku.

“Dek, ini berapa harganya?”

“Lima ribu aja bu”

“Duh mahalnya, tiga ribu aja ya,, kan kamu banyak duit, tuh masukannya tiap malam lancer dari pejabat-pejabat kali ya, hehehe, atau mangkal dimana biasanya nih, hehehe..” celoteh seorang pembeli sambil menyindir halus.

Setiap hari aku semakin heran dengan banyak sekali orang yang menyindirku, semakin aku tak menghiraukan, sayup-sayup aku tahu mereka semakin sering membicarakan tentanggku. Bercerita tentang kakak si Ratna yang sering pergi sore pulang malam atau pagi. Namum mereka lupa menyisipkan rasa prihatin terhadap beras dirumahku yang habis, tunggakan listrik yang hampir dua bulan lebih, dan yang terpenting adalah biaya pedidikan Ratna setiap bulan.

Padahal beberapa pemuda disini banyak sekali yang tak memiliki pekerjaan, sering berurusan dengan polisi, dan mereka juga sering pulang malam, pagi, bahkan tak pulang berhari-hari entah kemana. Lantas mengapa hanya aku, padahal aku berkerja, mencari nafkah untuk hidup kami, tak pernah perkerjaanku ini mengusik mereka, tapi mengapa mereka sering membicarakan aku, tanpa izin dariku menambah-nambah pernak-pernik negative tentangku.

Aku pernah mendengar disuatu surau bahwa dosa para pengumpat lebih besar dari pada penzina, karna pengumpat menyangkut karakter diri orang lain dan pembicaraannya bisa menyebar hingga pelosok pelosok kampung, dan tanpa fakta itu fitnah, fitnah itu lebih kejam daripada pembunuhan.

Mereka telah mengahancurkan bukan hanya karakterku, namun juga adikku, membuat adikku malu untuk sekedar menganggakat wajah dihadapan mereka, apalagi bergaul. Semua hanya karena ku sering keluar sore, pulang malam atau pagi. Hanya karena aku sering bergulat dengan pekerjaanku hingga pagi datang.

Aku memang bekerja ditempat kotor, tempat ini memang tak bersih. Sampah-sampah ini memang sangat menjijikkan. Tapi ini halal!. Menjadi pengais sampah tak pernah dilarang agama. Aku tak mungkin bekerja dipagi hari. Karena jatahku malam, sampah-sampah ini harus diolah pada malam hari dan pagi sampai siang aku harus berjualan.
Meskipun tempat aku bekerja didominasi oleh laki-laki, tapi salahkah aku? Aku juga punya kaki dan tangan yang sama jumlahnya. Tak masalah bagiku, asalkan halal.

Terlalu banyak didunia ini manusia yang merasa lebih tahu bagaimana seharusnya orang lain hidup, namun sayang tak jarang ia lupa bagaimana cara seharunya menjalani hidupnya sendiri. Tuhan menjadi saksi, aku masih suci.
